We have publicly made available without change or alteration the two government reports pertaining to the importation of the Savannah cat breed.  The first report was commissioned in 2007 and was the final report into the importation of the Savannah cat.

We have also made public the 2008 report which was compiled in record time.  We encourage you whether you are for or against to take the time to read both reports and after doing so reach your own conclusion.

BIG CAT RESCUE

Some interesting information about Big Cat Rescue.   Make up your own mind after looking at this.

Are they really doing the right thing.  Big Cat Rescue are being used to support the ban of the Domestic Savannah Cat being imported into Australia.

Savannah Cats Australia are the founders of the Savannah Cat Breed here in Australia. We have dedicated years of hard but enjoyable work to be the first to introduce this awe-inspiring breed to all Australians.  The Savannah breed is a life time commitment for Glenn and Carly of Savannah Cats Australia.

We will continue to work closely with Martin and Kathrin (A1 Savannahs) who are THE ORIGINAL FOUNDERS of the Savannah Cat Breed. F3

We have established open lines of communication with all of the Feline Associations within Australia and will continue to be at the forefront of the Savannah breed.  Establishing a firm placement within Australia for the Savannah is our priority so that the Savannah Breed will be well respected and loved in it new home, Australia.

So, I hear you ask, what is a Savannah cat?  A Savannah Cat is a pedigree domesticated cat that has African Serval heritage.  There is no substitute for quality, with their large ears and tall slender body you know that you have Egyptian royalty in your midst when you are in the presence of a Savannah.

SCA will only be introducing Savannah to Savannah breeding into Australia so you can benifit from the years of dedication and hard work from day one.

All SCA savannah cats are of highest breed quality and all SCA Savannahs will be QFA Inc. registered.

Glenn and Carly Parker are dedicated to all wildlife conservation and support all conservation efforts that will see all Australians and the world appreciate our country and its wildlife heritage for today and for the future.

As part of our commitment to wildlife conservation, all Savannah kittens sold from Savannah Cats Australia as ‘pet only’ are de-sexed and micro chipped prior to going to their new homes.

Please enjoy browsing through the SCA website and if you have any enquires please feel free to contact us via the contacts page.

A New Breed To Australia

The Savannahs that are being imported into Australia have all come from the strongest and most developed blood lines in the world.

What this means to you… the F5 Savannahs that are being imported for the breed establishment within Australia will be highly developed with the sweetest temperament and nature.  They have the equilateral triangular shape head that does not include the ears.  The Ears are large and set high on the head.

A1 Savannahs are at the forefront of the Savannah breed and have been refining the breed quality since the 1980’s.  They were the first to produce fertile F4 Savannah males, they were the first to register a Savannah litter with TICA and they were the first to register an SBT with TICA.  The Savannahs that are being imported into Australia are second to none.

The picture below illustrate these important features that you should be aware of when looking at the Savannah.

*** Due to the fact that the Savannah cat breed is not yet in Australia, some pictures on this site are of lower generation Savannahs, ie. F1-F4, these generations are not permitted into Australia.  Only F5 generation and above are permitted.***
